Angry dialing out with wvdial

He guys ive some problem with wvdial. I have to dial a 0 to get a carrier, but wvdial starts, waiting for carrier, ends then. How can i dial out anyway? In the Manpage stands something like no carrier = no (or so) but this dont work. (i just wanna a normal PPP connection) Please help, thx.

And tell me please a good IRC Client for the shell.
If it's important, i have Debian.

i've never had this problem, but just offhand, shouldn't it be "no carrier = yes"?

either that, or try adding a 0 to the front of the number you dial to get out.

try this, in wvdial.conf file find the line <dial command = > and change the ATDT to ATDT0W. in theory it should dial zero than Wait for the carrier before dialing the rest of the number. you can add commas after the 'W' for a longer wait time.
