Dial Up Modem Installation :MODEM NOT DEYECTED

Hi
I have installed Ubuntu 9.04 nd(inside windows vista)on my dell Inspiron 1525 laptop.
I need to configure my dial up connection.
I have configured the connection in GNOME PPP, I also tried KPPP.
But I am getting the ERROR cannot open the modem.

I tried several packages for this modem.

MY MODEM (INTERNAL MODEM):Conexant HDA D330 MDC V.92 Modem

Please help .

What device are you putting in for your modem?

Go here http://www.conexant.com/support/md_d...ssistance.html and download the driver, but since you're running as a guest OS inside Vista (???), there might be some other issues you're dealing with. Windows doesn't often play nice with other things...
