dhcp failed?


during initial startup of Backtrack, it now says FAILED under starting DHCP, and also is says dhcp3??

Now I cannot even open WICD connection manager to connect to the internet.

i don't know what i did to cause this...
how do i fix?
do i need to reset something?

Are you trying to create a DHCP server or connect to the network using DHCP?

I think he's talking about dhcpcd since he's a client connecting to the internet. Could you give us the exact error message?
