/dev/ : where is my floppy?!

I wanted to mount my floppy but there was neither a floppy directory under /media/ or /mnt, nor any entry for floppy under /etc/fstap.
So I decided to add a line in fstab for my floppy.
But as I looked in /dev/, I couldnīt find any /dev/fd0 any the other entries donīt look like a floppy. How may I find my floppy?!

Do you have the floppy drivers install in the kernel? If not that would explain why its not there at all.
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto 0 0
Thats my line for my floppy disk if that helps any.
