/dev/sda1 is not a valid block device
Hi,
Today I joined the forum, and immediately have a question.
I'm running RH 7.2 (2.4.7-10), with SCSI (Adaptec 1540/1542 ) and IDE disks.
After re-installing the distribution I am not able to mount my SCSI disks. I think I already tried all the stuff about this "challange", but still not able to mount. I tried:
-" fdisk -l /dev/sda1
-: depmod -ae
-: mount -t ext3 /dev/sda1 /test
-: verified the physical recognition by the SCSI adapter, and verified the disks (all OK)
It is very frustrating, because it worked fine after my first install. Now I used the anaconda-ks.cfg file to 'automate' the (re-)installation of my machine, and it is not working anymore.
Can anyone help me, please
Thanks alot.
