/dev/core is very large

My /dev/core, which is a sym link to /proc/kcore, is very large (134 MB). I read you should not remove this file. Is this true? If so, is there a way you can decrease it's size?

You could throw out some RAM, heh.
/proc is a virtual representation for/by the kernel, kcore is the representation of your boxes memory (plus some header files). Since all files under /proc are virtual, they don't take up any *real* space, so the worry level for /proc/kcore should be as low as the usual outcome of "my memory being eaten by linux" kinda threads...

OK, thanks for your reply, unSpawn.
