Problem getting local ISP to detail parameters for login (PAP, CHAP, etc.). Does anyone have Chariot details ?
Another Aussie near Brisvegas ! Rob. |
I split your post out of the unrelated 4 year long dead thread...
Exhuming corpses on LQ isn't illegal, but it's strongly discouraged ;} Cheers, Tink |

The question you're asking is a tad specific and it's unlikely you'll get a solid answer. Get together a list of all the information something like Kppp needs and then call tech support for your ISP. Chances are they won't support linux but you're just asking for some IP addresses and posts that they should be able to provide :) |

Who is this burping Gary anyway, and what made him worthy to be the namesake of a town? ;} Cheers, Tink |
Get off it ;) At least it's a real name, Brisvegas is made up! It means something in the indigenous language but I don't know what :p

Are you talking dialup? I have a chariot account. I don't use it often. It's my backup. I don't do anything special. I use a smoothwall box to handle the dialup connection. I'll chack the details here shortly...
What troubles are you having? |
Just looking on my smoothwall box it seems pretty simple. put in a phone number, PAP or CHAP (it uses PAP by the looks), user name, password, automatic DNS (the dns it gives is primary DNS address 203.194.27.57 secondary DNS address 203.194.56.150)
