Desktop Effects (linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22-14-generic)
Hello everyone!
Yesterday I tried to turn my desktop effects on and I got this error: Desktop effects could not be enabled. Then a friend of mine told me to check "Restricted drivers manager" so I could turn the drivers on, I tried to open it and i got this error: You need to install the package linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22-14-generic for this program to work. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm very eager to get my desktop effects enabled!! plz help! Thanks in advance, Nis2k. |
You didn't specify what operating system (or distribution, if you like) you are using, but I suppose you are talking about one of the latest Ubuntus (because of the Restricted drivers manager). So..did you try installing the package it wants?
Code:
sudo apt-get install linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22-14-generic Have you done any system upgrades, that may have caused that? Graphics card driver upgrades? |
Wont work.
