Desktop efects not working


Hello everybody this is my first post.I want to know how make the desktop effects like the cube and other graphical efects alongwith it work on Ubuntu 10.4.My system configuration is as follows:-

Motherboard-Intel D945GCNL.
RAM-1Gb DDR2
Hard Disk-Seagate Barracuda 160Gb
Processor-Intel dual core 1.6 Ghz
I have integrated grahics on my motherboard.
Please help as soon as possible.

The integrated graphics may be an issue, you need decent video hardware to handle Compiz.

What driver are you currently using? Do you get an error when trying to start compositing?

Thanks for the hhelp but I found that i hadnot installed compiz.After installing compiz i got my 3d effects.Thanks for your help.
