Desktop Config
 

While changing some appearance themes on KDE I have lost the ability to access "Configure Computer". Where "Administration" used to be "Applications" has replaced it. I managed to get the window with the computer system settings up and clicked on the computer and got this: "Unable to run the command specified. The file or directory "file/usr/share/appink-mdk/configuration/configure your computer desktop does not exist". I wanted to get into menudrak. What did I do and how can I get it back?:newbie:

If you're trying to get into the program called menudrake have you tried typing it at the console? Just because the gui link is messed up doesnt mean you cant get into it anymore. I dont use Mandrake but I'm pretty sure that should work ..

My menu changed after changing some desktop settings and now I can't get into "configure computer". The entire menu changed and omitted the "Aministrator" heading, thus not allowing me to get into the control panel.:newbie: :newbie:

You could try adding a new user account to see if the configure computer menu is available in the new account, then you would know if the problem is in a local config (easier to fix) or a global config (more ominous).... Just a thought , albiet a small one.

What I had done was changed to KDE default menu which doesn't allow "Administer your system "w/config computer as a catagory. Is there any way to add that to the KDE default menu? I tried to add it in menudrake but it didn't take. The "simplified menu" which has "administer your system" won't let you change settings on the desktop.
