Desktop Backgrounds


Hi all,

Can any Linux Dist. support any type of files for desktop background images?

jpeg and png are supported. BMP is most probabaly supported too.

Is there a way to display a HTML page as a desktop background a la Active Desktop in windows?

On KDE you can also use svg backgrounds.
