Desktop


Hello , To whom it may concern , I am completely out of my element here , My desktop Icons vanished and I cannot begin to find them ???? My applications etc. Bar just vanished everything else is awesome I'll miss windows XP but Im really enjoying learning this Linux system its really nice .Its cylon linux , thats really all I know Its 12.01 something like that and , I rebooted and when it booted the firefox , application bar etc . were all gone?? Im able to get around some in there but for the most part Im still hunting and pecking here . Been using xp since it came out

To help others provide answers you will need to provide a bit more information, such as Linux distro (i.e. Ubuntu, Slackware, etc.) and version, and probably what desktop you are using (KDE, Gnome, Unity, etc.), and anything you can add about what you were doing when your icons disappeared.
