dependencies with mplayer...
im trying to install mplayer on fc3 from their binaries....now when i try to install it , its giving me an error that some dependency "libmp3lame" or something like that is missing...where do i get it ??? and how do i play mp3s in xmms...it says that due to some issues, mp3 support is removed from fedora, but i remember i had downloaded something in fc1 long time ago which allowed me to play them...help

Try googling for the library you need. We can't tell you where to find a 'something like that' library.

its asking for a file called libmp3lame.so.0 i later downloaded the source code for it and compiled it and installed it without any errors...mplayer still wont install...any other alternatives, or any other better and easier player will also do ...

Why not use apt/synaptic or yum. Apt is available from freshrpms and Fedora Pre-Extras.

cuz i cant get my internet to work in FC3. Im using a Fixed Wireless Terminal Phone with Wireless Internet...It is detected as a standard 33600bps modem in Windows after I install the dialer program but it isnt even detected in Linux..
