I'm very new to Linux, and I think I am starting to get the hang of it. I use a Dell Truemobile 1180 USB Adapter to connect to my cable modem router, and I was wondering where I can get a Linux driver for it. The Dell website only has Windows drivers, so they're no help. Going through other posts, I get the impression that there is some kind of port or something, but was unable to find really anything specific. In short, is it possible to use the Dell adapter, and if so, where might I search for some instructions on how to do this? Thanks.

EDIT: BTW, I'm using Slackware 10.1 if that matters.

Thanks to Google, http://linux.siprell.com/hardware.htm#dellwlan says that with this card, you need to use a wrapper of some sorts with the Windows driver to get it to work in Linux.

Look at NdisWrapper and search the forum here to see if anyone else has any experience with your card (the link I gave is from a Gentoo user, hence the configuration files are not the same), or at the very least, the procedure for configuring a card with NdisWrapper on Slack.
