Question Dell Storage With Not Dell HDD


Dear All!

Excuse me, i would like to ask, that how can is use a storage: Dell EqualLogic PS6000 with not Dell HDD, under Debian 8 managemant?
Or where can i found detailed informations about it?
I didn't found any kind of informations on the official sites.

Often times, these storage arrays are vendor locked, so you will not be able to use any drives from Amazon or eBay on these types of storage arrays.
You can go to support.dell.com and see if it is under warranty, if so, open a support call and ask them.
Or, you can also ask on Dell's forum.

I suppose someone could burn in new info to any similar device to cheat that OEM lock. I assume above is correct in it being locked but some reports of other disks working.
