Dell Poweredge 2600 Installation
 
Hi I have just purchased used Dell Poweredge 2600. I want to Install any linux O/S on it. I have Fedora, SUSE, Ubuntu. But its not installing ! Please help me to change CD boot option and to install.

I have seen similiar boot problems and the solutions has been to boot off a CD and not try a DVD (the server has CD drive and not a DVD drive). :-)

The bios needs to be configured to boot off CD

When your server starts and show the dell screen you need to press f2 and change the boot order. Also I have a dell 2650 and it comes with a cdrom not a dvd rom. I would check to see if yours is the same.
