Dell Latitude CPx video

I use SAX2 to configure things or Yast, but nothing works. tried all combos, but nothing worked on this with SuZe 10 install. The video works in the test, but not after the reboot????? WHat is wrong?

First things first, we need more info. You say that you've "tried all combos", but can you give us a bit more of an idea of what exactly you're talking about? Are you saying you've tried all of the video card types, and screen resolutions etc.. Do you get *anything* on your screen at all after reboot,(such as a command line, or any text at all), or is the screen simply blank? Also, knowing that you at least get the BIOS screen would help too..

If you can give us a bit more information, we can see if we can start to figure out what's happening.

Thanks,
Jay

Thanks anyway

Don't bother. Thought that maybe someone knew exactly what video setting works for this common Dell notebook.

I know the capabilities, but the list of drivers actually do not work with this card. Just haven't tried all the cards. The installer with SuZE 10.0 sees the card as the Mobility Rage... But it is an M1....

Don't bother. I will take out the hard drive and send it to the recyclers. Some kid will at least get a back-up drive out of it.
