Question deleting window files under linux os

Just a simple question which I hope poses a simple answer -
How do I delete a windows xp (dual boot with linux mandrake9.x) file when booting into linux? Also is the a radeon 8500 aiw tv capture driver that I could use for Linux Mandrake 9.x
Your help is greatly appreciated, I'm very new to Linux and appreciate any help that I can get.
Thanks

Welcome to linux. Is your windows partition a NTFS partition or fat32. You can mount fat32 window partition like this:
mount –t vfat –o rw /dev/hda1 /mnt/windows
and NTFS like this:
mount –t ntfs –o ro /dev/hda1 /mnt/windows
but for NTFS, theres only read support so you cant delete the files. In that case just reformat your ntfs drive to a linux partition.
cool
