Deleting/Resizing Partitions on Android Tablet

I have a Huawei IDEOS S7 android tablet running 2.1. My USB port has died, so I need to delete a partition I put on the internal memory area, then resize the remaining partition back to the full amount. It looks like I should be able to use terminal emulator to do that, but I don't know any of the commands. Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated!!

How did you create the partition in the first place? You should be able to simply reverse whatever the original operation was. Unless you somehow did it though the computer when connected via USB?

I have since gotten this issue resolved.

Yes, I did create the partition via software on the pc with the tablet attached via usb. The usb port on the tablet died so reversing it that way was out. However, I was actually making this issue more difficult that it should have been. There is a way to format the internal memory partition from the settings menu on the tablet, and it set the size back to default.

Thanks for your reply.

Try to modify partitions map. Is it possible?

I own an "ancient" WowPad Infotmic tablet, upgraded to Froyo. All right till this moment, but I'm trying to install Ubuntu/Debian through Linu Installer. The process is easy and clear, but needs a lot of memory (about 900 Mb in /Data), and I have not enough resources. Well, thats not exact: my partitions map is:

Partition....FS.....Devices....Mounted at...TOTAL(Mb)..FREE(Mb)

mtdblock0...........ramdisk.....................2
mtdblock1...........kernel......................6
mtdblock2...yaffs...resv........................256
mtdblock3...yaffs...system....../system.........192......69
mtdblock4...yaffs...userdata..../data...........984......894
mtdblock5...yaffs...cache......./cache..........64.......59
mtdblock6...yaffs...Local-disk../mnt/sdcard.....511......487
mtdblock7...........panic.......................1

TOTAL...........................................2016.....1509

I know there are some apps to resize partitions, but are always referred to /system, /cache and /data, and there is only limited space to gain.
But, What about mtdblock2(256 Mb)? I can't access it (denied), I canīt mount it (denied), I canīt see its content.
I think it may be the recovery partition (I'm not sure), but Is it neccessary so much space for that?; Is it occuped all the partition space?; If not, Is it possible to resize that partition and reassign space to mtdblock4?.

All contribution will be appreciated.
Best regards.
