delete file

Hi all. How would i delete a file that looks like the one below.

file 1.txt
if i do rm it tells me this

rm: cannot remove `file': No such file or directory
rm: cannot remove `1.txt': No such file or directory

Any suggestions? Thanx in advance!

rm "file 1.txt", or rm file\ 1.txt.
