delayed loggin after entring password, trminal
 

Hi

I have a server which is using RedHat AS4 UP4 on a HP DL580. What my problem is I get the login prompt and the password prompt oky, but from the time I enter the password it takes more then 30 or more seconds for me to see the prompt

Can any one tell me what is going on. By the way I have not done any changes to system parameters.

You must have slow pam modules configured in /etc/pam.d

hi Agrouf thanks for the reply, dont understand what do you men by slow pam modulus I am just using standard pam modules that comes with RedHat AS4.
