Default Windows Manager
Hey.
I just installed Mandrake 9.1 and chose Enlightenment to be my default windows manager. However I think I would have prefered KDE. I am unsure as to how to change the default windows manager so that when I boot, it starts with the KDE desktop. Anyone got any ideas? |
im not sure, because im unsing suse....but i think it was
mandrake control center > bsstart > configure boot manager or something like that....there you can change it....but im not sure, sorry |
Well, i use RedHat 9.....but one thing i can say is that whatever the flavour......the names of packages are similar...
So in RedHat 9 , there's a tool called "Desktop Switching Tool" which lets you select your default Window Environment. It will be located in the Mandrake Menu. Check out all the menus ....You should be able to locate either the same name or something matching to the above mentioned tool. Since I havent used Mandrake in recent times, i cant tell u about that exactly..... anyways...good luck |
Thanks all :)
Yes indeed there is a menu option in the mandrake control center. Just had to look harder! Thanks. |
