Unhappy dedian network setup problem

installed using debian 40r2 xfce cd1 but there is no network manager into myy desktop. canu tell me how can i connect to internet using static network sddress provided by my connection proveders. i am using a 10 mb lan.

you can modify /etc/network/interfaces file.
Mine for example looks as follows:

# This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
# and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).

# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

# The primary network interface
allow-hotplug eth1
iface eth1 inet static

dns-search com

auto eth1

then restart the network or your system
