decision making
Iv'e got red hat 9 cleanly installed on my server box, but the next step i need to take is leaving me to a decision factor if i need to go ahead and run up2date or go ahead and install cpanel(whm).
The redhat 9 was installed as a server default with the exception of the hd being partitioned by my choices. I already have the temp license to use cpanel, but wasn't sure if cpanel will take care of te updates. I am on a older rpm and need to get the current 2.4.20-30.9.i686rpm. also as I am in text mode, I could use some guides for commands to install the updated rpm. I did try going through the windows section and updating direct from there was a breeze, registered with red hat, updated everything then installed cpanel. the whole system crashed and I realize that I can't be in windows to install cpanel. So I am in the text mode, basic clean install of redhat and waiting for some direction to take from you experts...;) :Pengy: wanna be, but a :newbie: |
i have no clue what cpanel is
but installing an rpm in text mode isnt very hard at all run "rpm -iv path" substituting path to the cpanel rpm |
