Debian stable: Gnome 2 or 3?

Is Debian stable using Gnome 3 or is it still using Gnome 2?
What would be the default desktop if I install Debian from a netinstall right now?

Debian stable (6.0.4 now I think) runs Gnome 2 for the desktop. I can say that because I installed 6.0.3 and Gnome 2 is what I'm looking at right now.

EDIT:
Never used netinstall, but if you install "stable" the method of obtaining the packages should have no effect on the packages installed.

netinstall is the same as using installation CD-1 except you're downloading an iso which is a minimal os to do the install.
With the regular iso if you select to update using http or ftp some of the packages that are on cd aren't used because they're upgraded during install.
If using netinstall they are the latest packages for that distro.
