Debian sarge
Ok I read earlier in one of my post some one talking about Debian sarge.

Well I see a lot of sarge files. Which one do I down load and install?

Note: I will be using the net via get-apt to get the rest of the downloads when I have installed it.

thank you

here is the problem I have been to the web site the problem is which one do I get

netinst CD image, with Debian base
[alpha] [arm] [hppa] [i386] [ia64] [m68k] [mips] [mipsel] [powerpc] [sparc]

businesscard CD image
[alpha] [arm] [hppa] [i386] [ia64] [m68k] [mips] [mipsel] [powerpc] [sparc]

full CD sets
[alpha] [arm] [hppa] [i386] [ia64] [m68k] [mips] [mipsel] [powerpc] [sparc] [s390]

full CD sets (via bittorrent)
[alpha] [arm] [hppa] [i386] [ia64] [m68k] [mips] [mipsel] [powerpc] [sparc] [s390]
full CD and DVD sets (via jigdo)

other images (netboot, usb stick, floppy, tape, etc)
[alpha] [arm] [hppa] [i386] [ia64] [m68k] [mips] [mipsel] [powerpc] [sparc] [s390]

now I am shure I use i386 if not then what? now the question is which of the catagorys I checked (full CD sets) and there are 14iso files there do I just get the first one?

also what about (other images) I read taht netboot is one i can go with however this is as far as i get from here I do not konow what to do.

You want the "netinst" image. It is the easiest way to go. It will get the basic system installed, then you can download everything else you need from the interent. Upon first boot, the installer will walk you through downloading software you need to do different tasks. If you have and intel or AMD processor, you want the "i386" version. The other versions are for different kinds of processors.
