Debian not able to play bluray print (large video file) smoothly

Hello all,

I am using debian wheezy 7.0.1. I was trying to play a 40GB movie in debian using vlc. But i found it wasn't smooth. It was showing frame by frame with great lag. I tried running vlc with my nvidia driver using `optirun vlc` but no help.

Is there some missing video codes to play large files smoothly?

Thanks.

In VLC media player, go to Tools -> Preferences -> Inputs & Codecs and set 'Skip H.264 in-loop deblocking filter' to 'All'.

You may need to close VLC and restart for the changes to take effect.
