Debian in Virtualbox - Weird Screen Resolution
A friend saw me using Debian and asked if he could test it out without doing a permanent change to his computer just yet.

So I installed Virtualbox in his xp and installed Debian in it.

Upon bootup, noticed that the screen resolution is huge, e.g.
- gdm cannot be seen completely
- upon login, only can seen about 3/4 of the screen, the rest is hidden below

The screen resolution application doesn't show any resolution selection.

As a temporary solution, I've increase the size of the bottom panel to 200 and add an additional panel to "reduce" the height of the windows.

The default /etc/X11/ is

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Generic Keyboard"
Driver "kbd"
Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
Option "XkbModel" "pc104"
Option "XkbLayout" "us"

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Configured Mouse"
Driver "mouse"

Section "Device"
Identifier "Configured Video Device"

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Configured Monitor"

Section "Screen"
Identifier "Default Screen"
Monitor "Configured Monitor"
Any come across virutlalbox installation of Debian and have the solution to this?

Install virtual box guest additions and the Screen resolution should automatically adjust for whatever you resize it to.
