Debian Hardware


Hi,

I am wandering if someone can tell me if debians hardware support is as good or around as redhats? I heard somewhere that hardware is alot poorer supported or something is this correct?

Woody is getting rather dated so the hardware support can be lacking if you have cutting edge hardware it's very noticeable on server hardware with raid scsi drives. You can always try the new beta installer 4 and install testing instead of stable. I have always been able to get it to install but sometimes it takes some extra work to get it on. If you are using ide you usually can work through the problem quicker.
