Hi, im a newbie to this thread. does anyone know if this distro is available today or does one need to wait until tomorrow, Sat 2-15-14? thanks!!

I don't understand your question. The current Debian release is 7.4

Believe he's talking about oldstable, which will be released tomorrow some time.

I can't imagine why you would want to install oldstable if you have no running installation yet.

But if you insist on oldstable for any reason, you can install it today and perform a dist-upgrade whenever you feel it is appropriate.

If you are making a new installation, Wheezy (7.4 now) is a much better option. Oldstable is now 3 years after its release date.

Looking for "squeeze"
 
6.0.9 has the U.E.F.I. comparability chip & many preloaded programs. 7.04 will not run on U.E.F.I. from just the DVD. thanks!! terry
