Right now, my system (Debian 9 - stretch) has these packages in dpkg rc status:
Code:
ffmpeg 7:3.2.5-1
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good:amd64
0.10.31-3+nmu1ubuntu5.3
libqt3-mt
3:3.3.8-e-0debian7.0.0+0
libvdpau-va-gl1:amd64
0.4.2-1
opera 11.64.1403
pulseaudio 10.0-1
rtkit 0.11-4+b1
Commenting each one:
ffmpeg - no idea where this came from
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good:amd64 - no idea where this came from
libqt3-mt - I use a program that uses qt3, qgo 1.5.4
libvdpau-va-gl1:amd64 - no idea where this came from
opera - I tried to use opera 11 here, but I failed to do so; and I probably have copied the settings I had in another computer before using this one from scratch; this probably explains this 'residual config' for opera
pulseaudio - no idea where this came from
rtkit - no idea where this came from
Ideas for what I should do to discover the origin of these files? dpkg.log* files and filesystem available dates? Something easier than manually checking, finding and comparing all these?
How dpkg points which package was uninstalled but left config files? Or, if it checks all config files in system and home dirs, how does it relate config files or folders, and the package where it should have come from?

Do not forget to read my previous posts. And answer or comment them if possible. Links for each of the last 3 ones, which I just wrote:
