Debian Etch active applications toolbar is missing, how to get it back?

I foolishly removed the part of the toolbar next to the clock where it shows all active applications (e.g. calendar, noatun, kopete). Now its driving me crazy coz I can't shutdown programs like noatun. How can I put it back? Please help!

You mean the notification area applet in your desktop environment's panel application? If yes, then it's probably as easy as right-clicking the panel and selecting Add to panel, or equivalent; that should bring up a window where you can select the notification area applet to be added. Specific way may depend on the panel application itself (gnome panel, xfce panel, kde panel, ...) but that's how it usually works. If you don't know how to do something, right-click on it first

Tried that before but couldn't find it there. I'm using KDE and none of the additional panels seem to be the correct one.
