If you installed debian then you should of asked you to enter a root password and to create a regular user. There is no default ordinary user name or password. If you do not remember the root password then it is possible to rest it although for someone unfamiliar with linux it might be easier to reinstall.

fami1sa,
Bore da.
Have you actually installed Debian 8.6 because you will have been asked to enter your user/login name and a user (not root) password?
Did you enter such details?
Alternatively, if you are using Debian 8.6 live off a USB drive then I believe the defaults are:
login : Debian Live User
user password : live

Thank you so much. That (the second option) really works.

fami1sa,
Glad that the second option worked.
