Angry Ddclient Not Working

Hey guys. I am fairly new to Linux, and no I have yet another problem. I am attempting to use ddns with the ddclient, but have one problem. When I do a fresh install of the ddclient, I can view my hostname fine on my LAN, but only on my LAN. The site I used to help me* gave me a line of code to use if your computer is behind a firewall router, which mine is. I've replaced it every time, but once I do and restart the service, I get nothing. What can I do? Thanks.

Lightbulb

I got ddclient working by following this tutorial, and also by reading the documentation on the ddclient homepage.
