Hello,I'm new to the forums,but have used linux for 4 months

I use Ubuntu Linux 7.04 Feisty Fawn,lovin' it,but I have a problem keeping me uncomfortable.
I'm trying to get DC++ under Linux running,but It seems i can't get it...

I tried LinuxDC++,search and download not working(simply installed the package with Automatix)
I also tried running oDC/DC++ under Wine,oDC wouldn't start,DC++ has the same problems as LinuxDC++
Searched the net like crazy,Google returns only results about installing LinuxDC++

I would like to use the windows version of DC++ under wine if possible(heard that some have it running okay)
Please help,this is the only thing stopping me to dual-boot(this and some games)

try the nicotine project its a form of direct connection file shares but its not DC++ sorry i dont personally know of a better way....

what error does linuxDC++ give you????

edit: didnt see you said the search turn up bad and downloads dont connect....

sorry,nicotine isn't really what i want...oh,i'll keep searching

ok now...i noticed this when trying to get a user's file list in DC++ under WINE:

<•CSUKA•> Sorry, connection request not send because have wrong IP.

tought it may help...
