Question Davinci Resolve won't start using Mint Cinnamon, Dual booted i7 Imac

I've got a 6 year old 64bit intel i7, Imac that is dual booted via ReFind. I have a copy of Davinci Resolve 16.2.2 on OSX but i'd like to run a copy of Davinci 16.2.2 on linux Mint cinnamon, but it wont start...its been extracted to a folder named davinci, but after hitting run it spends a while loading its self up, but wont start from the screen Icon or direct from files..
I haven't grasped how Linux works yet so i do need a little (or a lot of) help especially with the terminal if I have to use it...

No idea if you have to use the terminal or not, because we don't have any clue as to what might be wrong. A problem description of "won't start" isn't much to go on, or what you mean by "screen icon or direct from files".

Typically, there are installation instructions for programs that are outside of the Linux repositories. There also seem to be tutorials on how to do this:

..as well as the Davinci forums:

Read the "Question Guidelines" link in my posting signature; basic research should be done first.
