Date format

I have a file like below

$vi myfile
file1.txt;200712031200
file2.txt;200712031457
file3.txt;200712031451

I want to change it and display it as other format .
The method is usr the first line of file (file1.txt;200712031200), after the ; is date (20071203 , which is a date --> 3rd Dec 2007) , then change it to the format "Dec 03" , the below is my desired output , can advise how to do it ? thx in advance.

Dec 03

Per the above:

Please post your thread in only one forum. Posting a single thread in the most relevant forum will make it easier for members to help you and will keep the discussion in one place. This thread is being closed because it is a duplicate.
