Database Configuration Assistent problem Oracle 9.2.0 RH9

Hi,

I installed Oracle 9.2.0 on RH9.

When I try to run the database configuration assistent, everything seems o.k. up to the last screen, where I have to confirm the starting of the db-creation. When I press O.K. the DCA just exits.

In my terminal (connected as Oracle) I see the following:

[oracle@kbl-gs8226 lib]$ dbca
/opt/oracle/product/9.2.0/bin/dbca: line 124: 16371 Killed $JRE_DIR/bin/jre -DORACLE_HOME=$OH -DJDBC_PROTOCOL=thin -mx64m -classpath $CLASSPATH oracle.sysman.assistants.dbca.Dbca $ARGUMENTS

So I seems as if the dca process is just killed.

Why ? And what can i do about it?

Check for errors in your alert.log file. My guess is it tried to create your database but you had some kernel paramters messed up.
