Unhappy DAT tape

Hi all!

Im writing a backupscript to make backups on my DAT-tapes. I use tar to write to the tape. After that i tryed to get the tar file back from the tape. This also worked.
The only problem is, my tar files are corrupt when they have been on the tape!!!

Help please!
