i have recently installed slackware 9.1 and configured lilo to boot /dev/hda
when i boot the computer it shows the lilo boot interface and then goes to DarkStar login:.....i log in as root....with my password. I was wondering how i start the KDE
The other way to do this is to configure you X systems with the xf86config command (this sets up your video drivers) then select your X environment with xwmconfig. Once you've got X properly set up, you can get to your graphical environment any time you want with the startx command.
thanks for all your help....but now im having trouble using xf86config....when i finished using xf86config and type startx i get this errors that says screen not found
Thank you guys for all your help...i finally got my system up and running....i just would like to ask one more favor....i have a logitech mouse plugged into a usb slot.......i am wondering how i can set up slack so i can use my mouse.
thnx
greg
