Exclamation Darknet????

Well I came across a forum telling how to go on darknet? And I like haven't heard before about it so that was information to me So can anyone elaborate that. It also said that To go there one needs a lot of security an all on their machine. Till now I was using ubuntu without an antivirus and a firewall (I ran occasional checks with ClamAV but that's about it) because I thought that Linux didn't need any. but now after reading horrifying stories there I am seriously thinking about taking some security measures, cuz I don't want my PC to be hacked. Can any one please help me on this also?

there is a security document by the NSA if you're really paranoid read that and take the bits you believe are necessary for you. It's meant for redhat but still...and ultimately security begins and ends with you your use what you do with it who you allow to access it physically or through network etc. TBH I don't use AV on my linux machines and i have just a 5505 asa for firewall/vpning
