damage in VCD's...

Is the probability for a VCD track damage higher while VCD's are run in a computer, than they are run a seperate VCD Player ?
If so , why is it?
is there any difference in the R/W heads or any other mechanism in the computer VCD unit and a separate VCD player ?

This would probably all depend on the manufacturer of each really. No way to tell unless you had different brands to test from.
