cygwin g++-3.exe, gcc-3.exe corrupted to g++3.exe.dam and gcc-3.exe.dam

Hello,

I have just downloaded latest cygwin installation files from cygwin.com. However, I am not able to execute the gcc and g++ compilers (g++-3.exe, gcc-3.exe ) since they are corrupted to g++3.exe.dam and gcc-3.exe.dam files. The files are not cleaned when scanned through latest antivirus. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue.

My operating system is WinXP SP2.

I am sorry if people in this forum expect only Linux related questions and not cygwin related. My problem is not resolved after reinstalling the damaged files. New files get automatically converted to *.exe.dam files. Does anyone know the solution for this?
