cygwin doesn;t work after reinstallinng Linux machine

Hi,

This is my first post and hope I will get quick response which will help me solve my problem.
I am trying to connect to remote Linux machine via Cygwin but it showing nothing on the screen except grey background.On the other screen it gives XF86 is not supported error.

This was working with other machines so no problem with my cygwin installation.

What distro is on the other machine?

Thanks now it is working fine.
I have changed below values in /usr/share/gdm/defaults.conf:
AllowRoot=true
AllowRemoteRoot=true
XDMCP =enabled

and restarted the machine.
