Question Cygwin case sensitive problem

In Cygwin doing this:

echo ${a/B} # output: b
echo ${a/[B]} # output: b
echo ${a/[AB]} # output: b
echo ${a/[A-B]} # output: ""

But in pure Linux, the last output is b as expected. So why and how?

Cynwin's shell must be broken. Just tested it in MinGW sh and it worked
