Customizing KDE Logon Screen

Is it possible to customize the Logon screen for KDE or any GUI ?
I've looked @ kde-look.org, but haven't seen anything..
Anyone know if this is possible ?
Also, what about the idea of a section just for customizing section on this board, or is there one already I'm missing ?

Thanks

You'll need to find out which login manager you use. GDM or KDM (or XDM).

for GDM, run (as root) gdmconfig

For KDE, you are probably using KDM, and if so, you can customise the login manager through the KDE control centre. If you're using Mandrake, however, it has its own display manager, which has a different login screen. As far as I know, you can change the theme through the KDE control centre, but I think that's about it.

Hope this is of some use

Nevermind - just figured you meant the logon screen itself...

You can download new splash screens from www.KDE-look.org (http://www.kde-look.org/index.php?xc...5f1d0770a93e91). There is also a installation howto. Basically all you have to do is unpacked the files and copy them to: /usr/share/apps/ksplash/pics.
