Current input timing is not supported by the monitor display

Hi Everyone,

Total Linux newb here and in need of help.

I'm new to this workstation and haven't had a chance to upgrade to a professional monitor yet so using my older DELL U2413.

When I attached the monitor via DVI and powered it up it seemed to run through the boot cycle okay but then I got the following message.

'The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 1920x1200@60Hz'

I am unsure how to adjust the Nvidia settings when I can't even see the interface. Assuming would need to use the command line but I don't know how. Any help would be appreciate and please feel free to explain like you would to a child as I am in way over my head here.

I believe the OS is Red Hat Enterprise.

A short time after the out of range message appears you may be able to Ctrl-Alt-F3 to reach a text mode login prompt, then perform whatever reconfiguration is required. If Ctrl-Alt-F3 fails to enable that, try doing any of, or a combination of, the following to the boot menu via the E key, to the line that begins linu:

append 3
append plymouth.enable=0
remove rhgb
append nomodeset

Be sure to start with a space when appending.

You should be able to get this resolved through your paid RedHat support contract.
