cupswrapper won't install on Ubuntu 8.04

Hi!
This is my first post. I am running Ubuntu 8.04. I have a Brother MFC-5840 multi function printer on a home ethernet. I can print from a Mac and any number of Windoze machines. I can print from the Dark Side of my PC (dual boot). I installed the Brother printer driver, but trying to install the cupswrapper I get a "Failed to install package 'cupswrapperMFC5840cn-1.0.2-3.i386.deb'" I have run the update manager. All seems to be up to date. In the terminal window It says:
touch: cannot touch `/usr/share/cups/model/brmfc5840cn_cups.ppd' No such file or directory
Any ideas?

Hi there, this is my first post also. I was having the same problem and dicovered that I needed to creat a directory for it. Fire up your terminal and type
Code:

sudo mkdir /usr/share/cups/model
after that I installed the package went into cups and configured my printer , no problem. Now I am off to fix the scanner.
