Question CUPSENABLEing a lot of printers at once

Hey guys, did I post this in the wrong forum area? Seventy-something people looked at this, but not a peep from anyone?
I'm thinking that a script might work, but I don't know how to parse the printer name from the output of lpstat -a, for example. If I could get the printer name into a variable then I could put together a command, something like cupsenable $printer; cupsaccept $printer for each printer found. Isn't there something like a chomp command?
Thanks again,
Brad

So it seems if I 'Go Advanced' whilst editing my post, it all goes away! My original question was: I'm moving from HP-UX to RHEL6 and have defined >100 printers via the lpadmin command. I'm looking for the means of automating the task of cupsenable and cupsaccept for all the printers at once.
Thanks
Brad
