Question CUPS printer needs "authentication", but fails.

Suddenly my wife's Ubuntu 10.04 requires "authentication to print to its USB laserprinter. But the authentication (using her login = wallet P/W) is not accepted, so just goes to print job backlog. Her login is "Administrative" (not recommended, but desperate). I have reinstalled cups, but not help. Printer is shared, no changes made to permissions etc., all look OK to me. Can anyone help? Thanks --G

Add your wife as a user or reset her password:
http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/...ppasswd.1.html

Code:
